1.What is AdR fellowship’s approach?
1The Fellowship uses a hybrid approach of business and social sciences training to help Fellows take their businesses to the next level as well as develop their critical thinking abilities to tackle some of the most pressing global issues.The Fellowship focuses on entrepreneurs from EU countries, North America and UK, especially from Jewish and Muslim communities, who demonstrate a proven commitment towards inclusion while at the same time strengthening the sustainability of their organizations/enterprises.

2.How old is the fellowship program?
2The AdR Fellowship was created in 2009.

3.How many fellows are accepted for each session?
3Up to 25.

4.Do I have to pay to participate in the fellowship?
4The Fellowship is fully underwritten by the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation. All selected candidates are provided with return tickets from and to their place of residence, accommodation and in-residence meals.
Successful candidates will be subject to a deposit check of $500 which is refundable at the end of the summer session.

5.Is there an age limit?
5No, there is no age limit to apply.

6.Can I apply if I am not a national of the countries listed in the application form?
6Yes, you can. However applicants must show a proof of residence of European Union countries, UK, USA and Canada

7.Can I apply if I am not from Muslim or Jewish background?
7Yes, you can. While the Fellowship focuses on building bridges between Muslim and Jewish communities, it is also creating a new brand for cross-cultural leadership. We welcome everyone who can demonstrate a commitment to social impact and building bridges between minority communities.

8.Is there a specific sector focus?
8Based on previous cohort, we have identified the following focus areas:
- Environment & New Technologies
- Social Media
- Health
- Community Service
- Education
- Creative Arts
- Intercultural / interfaith projects
Please note that we will consider other sectors based on the strength of the project.

9.Can I apply if I have a powerful “‘idea’?
9No, we only accept candidates whose organization has been registered and active for at least two years.

10.Do I need to have a business mindset?
10Yes, great consideration will be allocated to the Business section of the application.

11.What are the language requirements?
11Proficiency in English is required.

12.What is expected of me if I am selected?
12Accepted Fellows are required to participate in all sessions of the summer program to be held in United Kingdom in July 2017 (21st-29th ).
The Fellows will be required to have a Skype session with their business mentors before the summer sessions . The fellows will be required to reapply for the winter session should it be hosted by the fellowship and demonstrate substantial progress in their business plan.

13.Can I apply if my application was unsuccessful in previous year(s)?
13Yes, you can and we encourage you to do so. However, please make sure you read the criteria for the profiles we are taking that is posted on our Mission page.

14.What is the review process?
14Applications must be submitted electronically through the application form by April 23rd 2017 by Midnight EST.
Short-listed candidates will be invited to a video interview with the final jury in New York May 20th/21st 2017.

15.Do I have to make my own travel and accommodation arrangements?
15No, The Edmond de Rothschild Foundation will pay for and organize your travel arrangements (train & plane) from and to your place of residence. Please note that the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation work exclusively with its affiliated travel agency and will not reimburse any travel expenses which would be organized individually.
The EdR Foundation defines an upper limit for travel expenses and will not be able to cover expenses beyond the defined amount.

16.Do I need to have health insurance?
16Yes, all incoming Fellows must provide proof of health coverage.

17.If I have a disability, can I still apply?
17Yes, you can. We do request that, if selected, you let us know your needs so we are able to provide you with appropriate support.

18.Are children allowed?
18The Fellowship is an intensive 1-week programme based at Windsor Castle (St.George’s House). Any accompanying guests other than the Fellows cohort and faculty will not be allowed.
