Biography

Shahwiqar Shahin is the director of operations of Al-Rawiya UK. He earned his MA in Comparative Religions and Graduate Diploma in Muslim Philosophy & Theology from University of London. Currently he is pursuing a PhD in Fiqh (Islamic Juresprudence) at the University of London. He studied classical Islamic sciences under the supervision of different British and European scholars. He has extensive experience in education, cross-cultural dialogue and conflict resolution. He served as a Faculty member of the University of Cambridge/Coexist Foundation Leadership Programme. He is an Ariane de Rothschild Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship and Cross-Cultural Dialogue. As part of the Fellowship he completed Executive Education with Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK and Essec Business School in France.

Shahwiqar Shahin played an extensive role in curriculum design for the core and elective courses offered at Rawiya College as part of the degree programs. He is leading the initiative of acquiring accreditations for Rawiya College from Western entities. He also runs the coveted multi-discipline Leadership and Interfaith Program for Islamic scholars, government officers and Islamic High court judges (Qadi) from Malaysia (2007-2014).
