Since its founding in 2009, the Ariane de Rothschild Fellowship has championed the urgent need to bring innovation to the field of cross-cultural dialogue, to embrace a business mindset in helping to build tangible impact, and to better expose social entrepreneurs to the social sciences.
In 2016, the latest group of fellows have been engaging in a combination of theoretical teaching, tailor-made coaching and peer-to-peer learning to strengthen their impact, develop their organization and navigate across cultural differences.
Previous years’ efforts to foster this type of learning have engaged academic institutions as partners, and focused largely on user-centered creativity and design thinking. Through Fahrenheit 212, AdR Fellowship is going beyond this design-centered curriculum to ground fellows in other crucial aspects of the innovation discipline.
Innolead Safari is a follow-up 4 day training for the 2016 Fellows who had just finished a rigorous summer training at Cambridge University in August last year. The AdR Fellowship has partnered with the world’s leading innovation firm (Fahrenheit 212) to take the fellows on guided safaris of innovative concepts in the real world, where they are able to witness approaches in action first-hand. Plus the fellows get to learn from Fahrenheit 212’s Founder and Bestselling Author of How to Kill A Unicorn: Mark Payne!!!
Fahrenheit 212 believes that the generation of ideas, through methods like design thinking, is a small part of the innovation process, and that not all ideas are capable of becoming true innovations.
In fact, they believe that a major reason innovation failure rates remain so high, in both corporate and social innovation contexts, is because it is very hard to develop, identify, and bring to market truly “good” ideas – those that solve equally for the realities of an organization or business and the needs of a consumer/end-user.
Fahrenheit 212’s perspective, and a decade of learning about how to engineer ideas that deliver in the market, will impart the same mindset to AdR Fellows.
Stay tuned and follow our fellows adventures through our social media outlets!!!
